All poster presenters are kindly asked to prepare their posters with care for online viewing, including any applicable consent for the text and/or photo usage.

All posters at IPNA 2022 will be displayed electronically in the virtual platform where a poster-specific discussion space will be available for viewers’ and author’s comments during the Congress (and for 1 month after the Congress).

Tips for preparing your poster

Your poster will be the means to present your work and get your message across. To achieve this, we strongly recommend following the guidelines below:

  • Make use of colour and graphics. At least 3 pictures or figures are recommended to graphically show your study design and results.
  • Make your message clear. Highlight your AIM and CONCLUSION on the poster using large, bold or coloured fonts.
  • Be brief. Use bullet points and only the most relevant text.
  • Prepare a pitch to explain the main message of your work, making use of the pictures and figures on your poster.

2) RECORDED POSTER PRESENTATION - VIDEO (optional but definitely encouraged)

Poster presenters are encouraged to submit a 5-minute video presentation of their poster. This will be available within the virtual platform for all Congress attendees. The virtual platform has the ability to receive messages/interact with both on-site and virtual attendees.

  • File type: MP4
  • Length: 5 minutes maximum
  • Resolution: 540p minimum / 720p maximum
  • File name: Poster Number_Surname

Step-by-step instructions on how to capture a video in PowerPoint can be found here.

Congress attendees will be able to see your poster presentation for 1 month after the Congress. We recognize that this is different from an in-person meeting, and we kindly ask that your poster presentation is suitable for this type of publication (including any necessary consent if applicable).

Please upload your poster (and preferably also a video presentation) between 5 and 24 August 2022 via the IPNA 2022 Portal.

Only one upload of each of the e-poster and video presentation via the IPNA Portal can occur so be sure to double check your poster for spelling and grammar and make sure to upload the final version of your poster/video. Any changes to your poster/video can only be requested until 24 August 2022 via email to abstracts@ipna2022.org. Requests for changes after this date cannot be taken into account.

4) POSTER PRINTING (to display on-site in Calgary)

All virtual poster presenters will have their posters printed and displayed at the venue in the Exhibition Hall in Calgary. As a benefit to virtual presenters, printing costs and poster hanging will be at no charge to the poster author (costs covered by the IPNA Congress Secretariat). This will increase the visibility of your poster to the on-site attendees at the

Congress and will be in addition to your poster being available in the Congress virtual platform for viewing by virtual and in-person attendees.

In order to have your poster printed and displayed on-site, the final deadline for uploading your poster is 24 August 2022 (Pacific time zone). Please note that a poster uploaded after this deadline will not be printed and displayed on-site by the IPNA Congress Secretariat.

We encourage you to be available for discussion during a dedicated poster session if your time zone allows you to join.

During the poster session, you will be able to interact with both in-person and virtual attendees in real time in the Congress virtual platform.

If you plan to be available virtually during the poster session please note this on the poster to allow attendees to know that you are available in the Congress virtual platform.

Thank you for your poster preparation and for uploading your files.

Should you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact the IPNA 2022 Secretariat at abstracts@ipna2022.org.
